Field Service Kits
Desco Europe offers a complete range of field service kits for the electronics field service technician, as a simple, yet effective means for creating an ESD protected area in the field. Per IEC 61340-5-1 an ESD Protected area (EPA) may be a single workstation (fixed or portable), an entire room, a building or any other area with pre-designated boundaries that contain materials for equipment designed to limit electrostatic potentials. Featuring a common ground point system for grounding static control devices, these field service kits are manufactured from antistatic materials that prevent charge generation. When properly grounded, the Field Service Kit mat will remove the charge from conductive objects when they are placed on the surface.
ESD Safe VacuumsPer IEC 61340-5-1:2016, section 5.3.4.2 Insulators, "All non-essential insulators and items (plastics and paper), such as coffee cups, food wrappers and personal items shall be removed from the workstation or any operation where unprotected ESDS are handled". Desco Europe Vacuums are designed to be used in an ESD protected area, they are conductive/dissipative so electrostatic charges will be removed when properly grounded.
