Static Shielding Bags & Film

Desco Europe Static Shielding Bags are designed to protect ESD Sensitive Devices (ESDS) during transit and storage. They are constructed from a metallised polyester film and a low charging polyethylene laminate. This creates a faraday cage effect around the product, preventing electrostatic charge and discharge, from entering the bag and damaging its contents. The static safe environment that shielding bags create is ideal for both inside and outside the ESD Protected Area (EPA), however, it is required for outside the EPA to protect ESDS from possible ESD damage.

All shielding bags and film in the range have discharge shielding capabilities of less than 10 nJ. They include bags with and without zippers, metal-in and metal-out materials, and specialist materials that qualify to MIL-PRF-81705E Type III, Class 2.
