Question A question for you I have a process that requires I buff, or debur a metal can during the manufacturing process. The wheel is a 3M high strength nylon wheel turning at 1800 rpm. Static is automatic at this criteria. Can you recommend an alternate brush, or an alternate method of burnishing scratches and tape residue from the can. The can is titanium, the glue is from a white paper label of appropriate size. - Anonymous, PA
Answer Ionization would work to minimize the charge build up from the tribocharging of the can during your deburring process. Our Ionizers may suit your application. Both can be mounted on a wall, shelf or other structure and pointed to the area of concern. You can also try a chemical treatment as an alternate way to remove the adhesive and minimize triboelectric generation.
